The Canon ES-84 lens hood is designed for the EF 50mm and 90mm f/2.8L Macro Lenses. ;It provides protection to the lens, as well as minimizes flare by deflecting stray light from entering the lens. ; It is provided with the lens, but is available here as a replacement.
