The inexpensive portable DV Dolly is a combination tracking and studio dolly designed to work with any tripod and video camera. Instructions explain how to make tracking rails, with metal or PVC tubing for less than $10.

The DV Dolly is designed to create smooth tracking shots using 1/2 inch to 1 inch diameter tubing obtainable in any hardware or building supply store. The rubber wheels also allow you to achieve smooth tracking shots with out rails on even floors and low pile carpet! Or - pop in the 3 supplied casters to make it into a freewheeling studio dolly.
